Traffic Statistics
Powerful Connections for Every Home and Business
One of the key indicators of an IXP’s health and growth is its traffic statistics. At LEB-IX, we collect and share aggregate traffic data to provide insight into how much data is flowing through the exchange. This transparency helps members and the broader community see the value of local peering and track growth over time.
This live traffic dashboard showcases the robust data flow routing through our Akamai infrastructure, reflecting the true scale, speed, and reliability of our Internet Exchange. By continuously monitoring inbound and outbound throughput, we ensure optimal bandwidth health and seamless connectivity for all peers, even during periods of peak demand. You can revisit this page at any time to view the most up-to-date traffic statistics.
The Axes
-
Vertical Axis (Left - "bits per second"):
Measures data volume and speed. The "G" indicates Gigabits (1 billion bits per second), highlighting our high-capacity throughput. -
Horizontal Axis (Bottom - Time):
Tracks the time of day over a 24-hour period, allowing you to clearly spot peak usage hours and daily traffic trends.
The Data Curves
-
Solid Green Area (Total Inbound):
Represents the immense volume of data flowing into the network. You can visually track how demand scales up during heavy evening traffic and normalizes overnight. -
Blue Line (Total Outbound):
Tracks the data leaving the network. This steady baseline highlights the continuous upstream activity reliably handled across our infrastructure.
The Bottom Summary
The text beneath the graph provides a precise numerical snapshot, displaying the Current, Average, and Maximum (peak) speeds for both inbound and outbound traffic over the visualized period.
